The book also examines the potential for renewable energy production in the agricultural sector. It draws up a balance sheet in terms of environmental impact, yield, adaptation of public policies and technological prospects at the international level. Increasingly, agriculture will have to move towards agroecology and agroforestry―the only way of using land that combines trees and crops, which has the beneficial advantages of soil protection as well as the preservation of biodiversity and land productivity.
