Lily...Laura

Laura's quest in finding the culprit responsible for spreading malicious rumors about her father puts her and her two best friends in precarious situations. During these incidents, Lily mysteriously appears and protects Laura. After several interventions, it becomes evident to Laura, the twelve-year-old, and her two best friends that Lily, who has the appearance of an ordinary elderly woman, has extraordinary powers. They also discover that Lily has an evil foe, Nnorgath, who is determined to stop Lily from protecting Laura and who wants to kill Laura for reasons only known to Lily.

In his attempts to destroy Laura, Nnogarth kidnaps her younger brother, Andy, and takes him to his military camp in another dimension. Laura begs to go with Lily and travel to Nnogarth's domain to rescue her brother. Lily must first take Laura to the land of the Enchanted Carousel so that she can become a young Mmajjian warrior, which will enable her to have the ability to travel freely through the dimensions.

It is here that Laura has life-altering experiences. Not only does Laura become a Mmajjian warrior with extraordinary abilities but she also learns that she is special and is not like the other Mmajjian warriors; she has a mission to accomplish that she planned in another lifetime with E'ELL, the eternal energy of light and love.

Laura also learns that Nnogarth will stop at nothing to get her. In addition, she learns that her best friends are in danger as well. This is too much for the young warrior to bear; she questions why she was chosen and wishes the nightmare to be over.
