Melanites: The Origin

Millions of years ago, Mother Sun created a people of leaders to care for the Earth. While designing them, she placed melanin in their skin, which made their skin different shades of black and brown, and it was the source of their magical powers. But once the power in their melanin was activated, the Melanites found themselves under attack and the place they once called home began to change and life as they knew it was never the same.
