This volume addresses the issue of artificial technologies and digital challenges for public policy from an ethical, ecological and inclusive perspective. Understanding these problems is all the more complex for public policies, as technology is constantly evolving and disruptive innovations follow one another, requiring a permanent capacity for adaptation and upgrading. The following issues are addressed: the dynamics of artificial technologies via biometrics and its governance; the particularity of digital technology and its societal implications, particularly on the environment and territorial development; the particular difficulties experienced by certain large, complex state digital projects; the issue of digital exclusion, cybercrime and corporate cybersecurity. Essentially, the author argues that, in a context where the generalised dematerialisation of services is the focus of all attention, a collective, cross-cutting, sustainable and optimal response that respects human rights is necessary in order not to be overtaken by these societal challenges.
