Sexually Violent Predator: An Inside Look Into the KSVPA Statute and Facility

This book discusses and provides in-depth detail into the civil commitment scheme in Kansas known as the Kansas Sexually Violent Predator Act. This book is intended to be a tell-all revealing book from one inside the facility under the KSVPA that has been there for over twenty years. The hope is to garner attention and reform as necessary to make it a viable program that does not waste taxpayer dollars. All while meeting the stated goals of society, that of protection for the members therein.

The book covers many aspects and is a prelude to what the author hopes to be a future series of books that goes in depth into different subjects and aspects of the KSVPA. The book is intended to be informative to: (1) Those who know nothing; (2) Those with loved one confined therein; (3) Facilitators of similar programs in other states; and (4) To the taxpayer that cares if his tax money is being appropriately used.
