Bradyn Beaver lives in a pond,
In a house he built, of which he is fond.
Niada Newt is truly amazing;
She stays in the shade when the sun is blazing.
The playful poems in this read-aloud collection teach children ages seven and under about Canadian animals in their natural habitats. A beaver, a bear, and a mole are but a few of the wild critters depicted in clever verse and colourful images. Each vignette describes a different animal's lifestyle, eating habits, and unique traits using fun diction and catchy rhymes. As young readers will discover, this book is educational and entertaining in equal measure
