A Flower Has 7 Petals A flower it had 7 petals, Each one was blown away Never did we ever expect You wouldn't be here to stay One petal held you for 9 months A time that felt so long Not long after meeting you, It all went so horribly wrong One petal was at your birth A Grandma was over the moon, Little did she know, The petal would blow away soon One petal came to visit you A grandma filled with joyful tears Little did she know She would miss your important years One petal was a doting Aunt An Aunt with a loved filled heart The love would last forever, Even though you're far apart One petal was your Uncle Who didn't understand The loss of your presence there And wrote your name deep in the sand One petal was a second Aunt Past memories, clean out of sight But her love will last forever That tracks you night by night One petal was a third Aunt Who never saw your face But her love for you Will stay in a special place Now, all the petals have been blown away So far away yet so near But we release a balloon for your birthday And wish you a very happy birthday, every single year
