You will find this third volume of "This Side of the Past: Meeting the Mission Girls" interesting, intriguing, and entertaining. It appeals to readers of all ages, especially those who enjoy true stories of Alaska! The mission girls relate the faithfulness of Almighty God-His guidance, provision and watchful care over their lives. It tells the love and scriptural truth that have reached others through the gospel of Jesus Christ whom they loved and served.
The writings are educational and historical, authored by one who has lived in Alaska for over 60 years. Doris Hagedorn and Flo Hicks had many friends around the State. There are twelve chapters covering people you would enjoy--or may even know.
Perhaps you will enjoy this letter:
Dear Miss Doris,
I really enjoyed meeting you on Friday at the homeschool convention. My brother and I enjoyed reading your books. I thought it was amazing all the cool stories you wrote about. I think my favorite character in the first book was Babe. I loved everything about him and the way he acted. I can't wait until your third book comes out so I can read it. Sincerely, Parker
As you may know by now, Doris Hagedorn loves the Savior and loves people. She numbers herself among the lost He came to save. She is ever thankful for His Word-and His Mercy, Grace and Love-which freed her to serve and reach out in His Name. She desires that her writings will be used of the Lord to draw others into the fold and into a closer walk with God. Visit her blog at www.thissideofthepast.com.
