In The Shadow Of My Daughter's Death is about my daughter, Kemeil Patrice Thompson, her six-year-long battle with cancer, and the emotional struggles with disappointment she fought from childhood into adulthood. It also includes my journey as her mother watching her suffer in body and mind.
Also intertwined with her journey are my experiences as a young single mother at sixteen and being clearly unprepared to do so.
