A heartfelt memoir. Pat West Turner survived a near-fatal car accident as a high school senior that resulted in the amputation of her right leg. Pat has never let her disability define her. Turner, an avid snow skier before the accident returned to the ski slope with adaptive outriggers and went on to compete nationally and internationally. She later became a ski instructor and also a school teacher. Her missing leg never held her back.
