The Sermon on the Mount is the greatest sermon that has ever been preached. Revolutionary, unprecedented, and transformative, it was Jesus' summa, the comprehensive yet concise encapsulation of the Christian life. He holds up a mirror for us to see where we have failed to measure up and exposes why we make mistakes and yield to temptation, why we become bitter, sick and impoverished. But more importantly, He reveals how much better we can be, teaching us how to pray, behave righteously, overcome evil and find true happiness.
In this unique treatment of the subject, Mark Hughes approaches the Sermon on the Mount thematically, illustrating how the life-changing concepts in Christ's greatest teaching can be applied to everyday life. It discloses the strikingly counterintuitive mysteries of the kingdom of heaven and how we can tap into little-known spiritual principles that will allow us to live a life that transcends the ordinary.
This third book in the Greater series is not for the faint of heart. Those who desire to become fully committed followers of Christ will be challenged and inspired to live with a greater perspective as they discover the secrets to success from the Sermon on the Mount.
