A Dream Deferred- An Ode to My Mother

The question is, what happens to a dream deferred? The writing of this book has taken over a decade. Well, this dream that Celeste had went through all the stages. When I began seeing her handwriting or reading her innermost thoughts,

it would send me spiraling down into an abyss of sadness.

The process of grief is enduring, but I am finally able to inhale without my heart feeling like it will burst. I miss my mother every day and in every way. I take great pride in presenting her writings to the world, as it was her desire to become a published writer. I implore each reader to take a piece of "Celeste The Best" with you in your life. Be a helping hand, a neighbor, and a resource provider. Be willing to go the extra mile, be the better person and turn the other cheek.
