This book has been fun to write. It has given us an excuse to relive our 50 years in a loving marriage. We have not had an opportunity because of distance, and other excuses, to get to know most of our extended family. This memoir will help them to know us a little better if and when there is space in their own journeys to explore ours. Our innermost hope, and primary reason for writing this book, is to offer a perspective on marriage that might be a blessing to others. Nothing would make us happier than if we could help people who are preparing for a life together or seeking to strengthen one already in progress. No one can avoid hardships. In all lifetimes, there will be good times and bad. Health and sickness. Weak moments and strong ones. Help is something we all need at times.
