This book explores the effectiveness of agricultural waste extracts and green synthesized nanoparticles in controlling mosquito populations. Mosquitoes are notorious for their ability to transmit deadly diseases such as dengue, malaria and Zika and conventional methods of mosquito control often involve the use of harmful chemicals that can have negative impacts on the environment and human health.
In this book, author presents an alternative approach to mosquito control using agricultural waste and nanoparticles. The book provides an overview of the different types of agricultural waste that can be used for mosquito control, including plant extracts, seed oils and animal waste. It also delves into the process of green synthesis of nanoparticles using agricultural waste, which can be an effective alternative to traditional methods that rely on toxic chemicals.
The book includes a detailed analysis of the bioactivity of these agricultural waste extracts and nanoparticles on mosquito species such as Aedesaegypti and Anopheles stephensi, which are major vectors of diseases such as dengue and malaria. The findings of this research can be applied in mosquito control programs to develop more sustainable and eco-friendly solutions that are also effective in reducing mosquito populations.
Overall, "Bioactivity of Agricultural Waste and Nanoparticles on Mosquitoes" is a valuable resource for researchers, students and professionals in the field of entomology, environmental science, and public health who are interested in sustainable mosquito control methods.
