In a small southern town, the heat of summer rises, as the days grow long and the nights warm. Isolde, an outgoing yet impulsive girl, and her more reserved next-door neighbor and best friend April begin their final summer break, ahead of their Senior Year of high school.

Together with their closest friend, the wise-cracking Jessica, the three friends will face new trials over this summer break. Isolde begins her first summer job, down at the local diner, while Jessica strives to get out of the shadow of her over-protective father. Stuck in the middle, April must deal not only with the tumultuous family life she struggles with but also with her desire to delve into the secret life her neglectful mother leads.
