A romantic novel about the life and times of a business man after Historic famine times. His business strength was his word was his bond and he always paid on time to his workmen. He purchased three vacant shops from the banks for small money. He then made a unpopular decision by appointing ladies to run all three shops which he bought in Castle St. All three businesses were a success. It also said that with the well endowed ladies he employed. He would never be cold at night. He was a Protestant who employed twenty Catholics workmen which gave him security from the highway men. Land was his god and he never stopped him acquiring more land. His love life utterly changed when he fell in love with a beautiful Scottish gentry lady of the realm . She told him more about business and also what ladies need in a special department. She then told him that she was known to be barren. He quickly proved her husband was shooting blanks. Her happiness was soon diminished when she was ordered home. Her husband died and she was ordered to marry a lord of the Highland's. He believed that he would ever find someone special again He also knew that God was good.
