If you are reading this book, you probably know a little about, or at least believe in Wiccans or witchcraft. It is important to understand that these are normal people who live among us, and they aren't the same as what is depicted in pop culture. The stereotypes of negative, mean old hags who hex people are very far from reality. These depictions are the reason that people have a lot of misconceptions about witchcraft or Wicca. Therefore, a lot of people practiced Wicca in secrecy and still do.
In fact, most people who were referred to as witches in the past were healers or wise people. They had certain skills that they honed and used to benefit others. There were, of course, those who used these abilities in a more nefarious manner, but this had nothing specifically to do with Wicca. How witchcraft or Wicca is used will depend completely on the user. If you want to learn more about Wicca and use it for the greater good, this is the right book for you. This spiritual practice is strongly interconnected with nature and universal energies that most people in the modern world are disconnected from.
A Wiccan is an ally of the earth and a lover of nature. Wiccans have been practicing healing for centuries and have passed their craft down through the generations. This book is meant to help guide anyone who wants to learn the skills of Wiccan herbal healing. Most herbs and other tools mentioned here can easily be found in the grocery store or in a metaphysical supply store. You can grow your own herb garden like a lot of Wiccans chose to do. This might also be helpful when it comes to sourcing certain herbs that might not be easily available in your local stores.
