An economic view of ICTs and digital platforms

Information and Communication Technologies are changing many aspects of our lives as individuals and are imposing on firms and governments the need to be increasingly innovative in their products and services, the latter having a shortening of their life cycles. This book focuses on the changes brought about by machine learning, artificial intelligence, the impacts of digital platforms and their impact on changing job roles. The work of the future will be completely different from today. It shows the changes in employment in recent years and some hypotheses about its future. In the second part of the book, we refer to the broad treatment of investment decisions, management and use of ICTs in firms, the specific process of software selection and job opportunities that arise for the professional in Economics in this area; in all cases focusing on the economic and business vision of all processes raised.
