The auctions at The Greenbrier are over. Before heading home for Hampton, divorced decorator Charlie has a simple task to complete. But when she finds herself mixed up in high-stakes high jinks on her way out of town, she decides to stay put a while longer. Thus begins an adventure that coincides with her parents' trip to Switzerland. Charlie's father has cancer, and upon his return will begin a rigorous experimental treatment. With her real life on hold, Charlie forays into the unknown, immersing herself in a liminal place where anything can happen. It's a rip-roaring good time with the townsfolk of Greenbrier County, as Charlie continues her quest for answers to the big questions. Why are we here, and where are we going?
