商品簡介
St. Paul speaks of the apostles and prophets as being the "foundation of the household of God," and of Jesus as the "chief cornerstone" of that household. He also speaks of a "mystery which has been hidden . . . but now has been revealed to his saints." According to Jesus himself, the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms all foreshadowed him. After Jesus' ascension, St. Peter declared that "all the prophets . . . have also foretold these days." Where has this great mystery been hidden, and revealed? Is the Old Testament actually about Jesus? And how does the New Testament show us that the Scripture has been fulfilled in him? Through poems that insightfully connect biblical characters and events to each other, Foundations of the Cross and Other Bible Stories further opens the reader's mind to the unity of the Bible, all of which proclaims Jesus Christ.
