Life took an unexpected turn when Douglas served as an officer for 11 1/2 years,
followed by a 7 1/2-year tenure at Home Depot. Seeking autonomy and driven by an
entrepreneurial spirit, he made the bold decision to become his own boss. Relocating
with his family to Florida marked the beginning of a new chapter.
A transformative period ensued as Douglas and his wife Jennifer and Douglas Jr
embarked on a journey to attain a certificate in childcare. Spending 17 years in
Barbados, they established two childcare centers, contributing to the community while
nurturing the growth of the next generation.
