Serving on the board of a volunteer organization can be deeply fulfilling. But even if your board has the nicest people and you all work well together, there's plenty that can go wrong. That's because society-and the law-can hold you, the board member, accountable if something bad happens.
Sounds dire? It doesn't have to be. If you understand what society and the law expects from directors, you can save yourself and the board with smart decision-making and wise, considered actions. Debi Peverill helps you do that, by giving you the practical knowledge and steps you can take for a smooth, trouble-free term of board service.
If you are joining a board for the first time, this book will reduce the overwhelm and start you on a solid foundation. If you are a seasoned board member, this book can help you course-correct. Wherever you are in your volunteer board journey, your new skills and knowledge will give you greater confidence and motivation as you continue to serve your cause.外文書商品之書封，為出版社提供之樣本。實際出貨商品，以出版社所提供之現有版本為主。部份書籍，因出版社供應狀況特殊，匯率將依實際狀況做調整。
