The Ross Family and Kevin have been officially a family for less than 24 hours when they find themselves on the adventure of a lifetime!
Kevin Asbury is more than happy to welcome his adventurous new step-dad Dan to the family. He's even okay with his new step-sister Anne. Mostly. But when Kevin and his mom Miranda join Dan and Anne on a post-wedding "familymoon" in the Great Smoky Mountains, he knows right away he's in over his head.
Hiking, cooking over a fire, and sleeping outside are all strange concepts to Kevin and his mom. Still, Dan is a famous outdoors explorer, and Kevin knows he's in great hands, even if he'd rather stay inside and read a book.
A surprise shopping trip in Gatlinburg sets the Ross Family (and Kevin) up for an adventure that's way beyond what they planned from their home in suburban Chicago. Faster than you can pitch a tent, Kevin and Anne find themselves completely surrounded by Great Smoky Mountain History... and the promise of treasure. There's just one catch-the treasure is said to be cursed.
With the help from their new campsite buddies Brett and Brenda, will Kevin and Anne discover treasure and avoid the curse... or will Kevin's first camping trip be worse than he could ever imagine?
