The album book and paratexts

An album book is a work that combines visual and textual elements in an integral way to tell a story. These elements can be used as didactic tools for students in General Basic Education (EGB) to offer several benefits: Visual and cognitive stimulation: Album books, by integrating images and text, stimulate both the imagination and critical thinking of students.Language development: They facilitate language development by combining words and images, promoting the understanding of vocabulary and the construction of meaning. Encouraging creativity: Visual and textual elements allow students to express their creativity and interpret the story in a variety of ways.Promoting reading skills: Paraprotexts, such as the title page and prologue, serve as entry points that can spark student interest, motivating them to read the main work.
