Return to Forbidden Valley is a continuation of book one, 'Follow the Lonely Trail'. After the long winter months waiting for the melting snows. Chase Johnson finds out that the homestead has debt left by his murdered pa. Needing provisions along with planting supplies forces him to return to the mountains and in the course of it all, he is drawn into a whole new adventure following outlaw gangs, rescuing a kidnaped girl, and looking for love brings him headlong back onto the trail with his Uncle Gray Wolf which never makes life easy for him.
