La preciosa novela de Pedro Carlos Lemus me hizo pensar en este verso de Emily Dickinson, porque se trata de un joven que ha sido educado con rigor en la tristeza. Sus padres --defectuosos, como todos--lo zambulleron temprano en el mar del abandono, la frustraci鏮 y el despecho. Y ah?--como las hero璯as de las telenovelas que adora y como en las letras de las canciones que lo hieren y lo curan y lo hieren-- aprendi?a nadar con soltura y dignidad. As?tambi幯 aprendi?a enamorarse: con esa asombrosa habilidad de replegarse antes del golpe. El joven al que ama tambi幯 lo abandon? aunque quiz?幨 no lo dir燰 de esa forma. Lo dir燰 de un modo m嫳 sugerente y, por eso mismo, m嫳 doloroso.
