The book covers the next 40 days as Mael joins in with the apostles of Jesus while Jesus instructs them more completely about their role in the world.
The book is a fictionalized account of these 40 days before Jesus's Ascension as Mael's journey leads him to discover who he is and what his role will be when transported back to Tessalindria.
In the book, all of the themes taught by Jesus in the Sermon on the mount are address in fictional action form.
