Let's get real, men. There is a quiet desperation that goes on inside us, but exploring that may cause weakness to show up, and we wouldn't want to compromise our masculine selves, now, would we?
I see a landscape of lost masculine souls searching, questioning, and wondering if the guy to their right or left is struggling with some of the same questions. I have news for you: chances are they are wrestling with the same problems. Just know that you are not alone.
I've found it easy to question what the "church" has or hasn't done for lost hearts and masculine souls, but ultimately, that doesn't do much good. I wrote this book, I do my podcast, and I'm a men's life coach for one specific reason: I want men to experience more in their lives. I want men to be their best for the families they lead, and guess what? Your family, your wife, and those around you also want that for you. They want to see you grow and blossom into the man you were created to be.
I've created
"True Man, True Ways: A Roadmap of Discovery, Back to the Masculine Heart" because it hits me where I am now, and I don't think I'm alone. As I've been on my entrepreneurial journey, many people have asked, "What are your plans, strategy, and purpose?" "Who do you help?" and "How do you help them?"
This book summarizes some of that, at least at this moment. I still consider myself on the path to becoming the man I want to become. What will this roadmap look like in 5, 10, or 20 years later? Chances are it will be repaved, reworked, and redeveloped, but I know the construction journey will be good under the care of an intimate relationship with God.
We're all under construction, all under development, and I think that's what this book is about. Can you be 1% better tomorrow than you were today? I hope the answer to that question is yes. What I hope to provide you with in this book are rest stops - the oasis - to pause, to rest, to replenish, and to provide you with the attributes to get you where you want to go. The journey is valuable, but the rest stops are just as crucial. I hope this book will be an oasis for you along your journey.
Today is the day, men. Let us encourage, love, and move towards a brotherhood of hope, joy, and intimacy. Let's be the men, fathers, husbands, and friends we were called to be. Let's be men for each other as brothers in Christ.
