An aspiring lawyer turned stand-up comic finds humor in his failures, but can he make it a success?
At thirty-five, Larry Bianchi is at a crossroads. He always dreamt of being a lawyer, but after three failed attempts to pass the bar exam, he decides to look for an alternative career path. Finding humor in his swings and misses, he sets his sights on stand-up comedy, turning his life experiences into laughs. Booking any venue that will have him, Larry finds comfort in self-deprecation but struggles to find his place within his newfound calling. Met with self-doubt, hecklers, and his mother's disapproval, Larry is on the verge of an existential crisis. But just as Larry is ready to throw in the towel, a chance encounter changes everything, and Larry discovers the key to success.
Hilariously funny, Life Is a Joke, and So Is Larry is a satirical look at the art of finding happiness. Examining current affairs through a comedic lens, Marwan Khadar's book debut will have you laughing out loud as you reconsider your own roadmap for success.
