Candice is a fourteen-year-old girl who lives with her two parents. Her mother works two jobs to support the family, and her father is a drunk.
While dust mopping her parents' bedroom floor, she shoves the dust mop under the bed to clear the dust bunnies. She suddenly hits something, and, lying down on the floor, she sees a suitcase shoved against the wall.
Curiosity has gotten the best of her, and she pulls the suitcase out. Before she can open it, her father comes home, and she quickly shoves it back under the bed and races to her room.
Unbeknownst to her or her mother, her father is living a secret life, and Candice is about to find out, but can she tell her mother? She has no idea how her discovery will impact her young life and fill it with guilt and fear.
