Broken: A Story of Being Shattered and Putting the Pieces Back Together

Growing up in Fairbanks, Alaska, with a single mom, Kierst faced many complex challenges. Money was scarce, and life was lonely and confusing for her as a child. She experiences sexual abuse from close family members and is left to understand and process her feelings alone. As Kierst gets older, the confusion escalates and turns to unhealthy coping mechanisms.

Kierst finds herself struggling with school, depression, and abusing alcohol and drugs. Soon, things take a dramatic turn, and suicide feels like the only option. After surviving her suicide attempt, Kierst must decide to keep down her current path of self-destruction or to choose a new future.

Kierst bravely embraces the challenge of changing her life path, encountering new obstacles along the way. Despite lingering trauma, she remains committed to hard work and sacrifice on the road to a better life. Overcoming pain and comng anguish, she continues to grow, driven to discover her life's purpose while learning from her mistakes.
