LF-bridge offers three magnificent notrump opening bids.
Developed to compete on three levels. They all have different response possibilities and in addition, to some extent, making use of the common response conventions like Stayman and Jacoby transfer.
- Mini 1 Notrump opening bid, only when not vulnerable, (range 10-14 high card points), an effective tool to find lucrative contracts on the lower levels and often makes it very difficult for opponents to intervene, because of the range of high card points.
- Strong 1Notrump opening bid, only when vulnerable, shows a hand holding 14-17 High card points, with specific major suit patterns. No deviations are allowed. Responder may pass with 0-6 Hcp. With all other hands responder bids 2 clubs, a special enquiry bid to ask for the opener's shape and strength (lf-bridge unique enquiry) to check major suit configurations or to investigate the major configuration with a view to 3nt. In other words, the responder does not need to have a 4card major to make this bid. For opener's replies please consult table 4 in our system tables. Alert the 2club bid as a major suit configuration enquiry.
- Very strong 2NT opening bid. Last, but not least, a solid no nonsense, very strong 2 notrump opening bid, holding 23 plus high card points. Ready for game almost on its own.
These three notrump bids are designed, with the sole purpose of giving our users a distinct advantage against opponents and other systems. Very difficult to compete against, without getting into trouble.
