Set in 1930's Saint Paul, Minnesota, a time when the Saintly City was a less-than-holy haven for gangsters, this caper is author D Zane Davis' homage to the detective "pulps" by authors like Raymond Chandler and Dashielle Hammett.
When a pawnbroker calls detective Quinton Paige to tail a blackmailer, the down-on-his-luck PI anticipates a simple solution to his looming financial woes. Instead, Quint finds himself at the center of a convoluted case, rife with deception, revenge, and murder that reaches back to the trenches of WWI.
