Many may have believed that the Unification Church passed into oblivion with the death of its founder, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon in 2012, but that is not the case. With a new name,
The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, and new leadership under Moon's widow, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the church continues to represent a spiritual threat to Americans today.
Steve Lagoon examines the history and theology of the movement, assessing the teachings and practices of the Reverend Moon and the cultic church he founded. Moon is revealed to have been an ego-driven leader suffering from illusions of grandeur, believing that he was the new Messiah sent to complete the supposed failed mission of Jesus Christ.
Includes:
- An extensive annotated Chronology of the history of the Unification Church
- Updates on the Unification movement since Moon's death
- A biblical refutation of Moon's works-based salvation claims
