Max and the Journey to the Lost City, Book 1

A magical treehouse. A secret city. Two brave kids. One unforgettable adventure.

Welcome to Max and the Journey to the Lost City-a thrilling tale of wonder, discovery, and the courage to believe in the impossible.

Eight-year-old Max lives in the quiet town of Oakhaven, where life feels a bit too predictable-at least for a boy who dreams of epic adventures and ancient secrets. While others play video games, Max escapes into books about lost worlds and daring heroes. But one sunny afternoon, everything changes when he discovers a glowing, rune-marked treehouse that wasn't there the day before.

Inside, the treehouse reveals itself as more than just a hideout-it's a portal filled with magic, mystery, and a strange book that responds to his voice. Soon, Max meets Lila, a sharp and fearless girl who also stumbled upon the treehouse. When they speak the word "Aethelgard," the treehouse activates, launching them into a forgotten jungle city where time has stood still-and their real adventure begins.

Welcome to Aethelgard-the Lost City.

What starts as a thrilling adventure quickly turns into a vital mission. Aethelgard isn't just forgotten-it's fading. Its lifeblood, a powerful crystal called the Sunstone, has vanished, and the city is slowly slipping into darkness. With the help of Kael, a kind but melancholy robot who speaks through light and sound, Max and Lila set out to find the missing Sunstone and bring the city back to life.

Their journey takes them through glowing murals, shifting stone paths, and puzzling ruins guarded by strange, mossy creatures. Each obstacle challenges their bravery and teamwork-and with every step, they uncover not only the secrets of Aethelgard but the strength and spirit within themselves.

But Aethelgard holds more than puzzles-it holds truths.

As the children unlock hidden chambers and discover the city's history, they realize the Sunstone is more than a power source-it's the heart of a civilization, a beacon of memory, and a test of intention. To save it, Max and Lila must learn to trust their instincts, work as a team, and believe in their growing abilities.
With the fate of a world in their hands, can two ordinary kids find the light that will lead them home?
