商品簡介
Peaks and Valleys, Kid is an exploration into the experiences of a queer trans man. Asher Lane Proctor's collection of short stories illustrates his own processing of composite intersectionality, self discovery, acceptance, and an eventual journey into self love. Proctor laughs through the pain, picks himself up when he falls, and leans on the community of his peers through it all. Proctor's matter of fact writing style places readers in his shoes as he moves through an almost cliche queer canon of love, loss, and resilience. His stories allude to a shared Murphy's law of tribulations among queer individuals, with experiences everyone can relate to. Hasn't every queer kid fallen in love with their straight best friend? Doesn't everyone hold on to a relationship that hurts them for way longer than they should? And hasn't every trans person been told that their transness was caused by something trivial such as the color of their childhood bedroom?
