"Life after fifty can be full of uncertainty and a metamorphosis of transformation, if we are willing. In Alchemy From Ashes we experience the power of pain, loss, love, acceptance, and the power of alchemy."-Chip Conley, Founder of MEA and New York Times Bestselling Author of Learning to Love Midlife "This book is a refreshing and emotional journey through "becoming" in a world full of bigotry. No matter the prison we may live in, caused by prejudice and judgments, this book is a testimony that an authentic life is possible!"-Katie Jensen, MS LMHP A STORY OF SPIRITUAL TRANSFORMATION Kevin Hutchison spent years denying his sexuality, trying to fit into the mold of a traditional husband and conservative Christian faith leader. Then, through a fated encounter one summer night, a new world opened up where the pain of not living in his truth became too much to bear. He knew he needed to change his life.
In his coming out journey, Kevin navigated mental health struggles, alienation from his faith community, and deep inner pain. He sometimes questioned his ability to keep living. Yet he found healing, in part through reimagining and rebuilding his relationship with a truly loving God. With grace, divine intervention, and growing self-love, the ashes of his life were eventually transformed into something beautiful.
Alchemy From Ashes is a story of one man's odyssey through the darkness of self-rejection into the wholeness and light of self-acceptance and love. His journey lights the way for all of us.
