Confucius is a socio-political philosopher, teacher and founder of the Chinese virtue ethics philosophy of Confucianism; the most fundamental influential spiritual tradition of Chinese culture and society for 2,500 years with an estimated six million followers world-wide.

Confucius teaches cultivating moral virtues such as filial piety, benevolence, righteousness, propriety, learning, wisdom, sincerity and reciprocity. Cultured human beings and leaders are gentlepersons embodying, living and enacting the soft power of the Way of Goodness. Confucianism is a timeless Way of being and living that is relevant for transforming our current Western civilization, political order, social harmony and our personal integrity, freedom, peace, intimacy and happiness.

This rendition of The Analects of Confucius is dedicated to those human beings; 1) who only have superficially considered and prematurely discounted the teachings of Confucius as being patriarchal, misogynistic, authoritarian and rigidly moralistic; 2) who haven't dug a little deeper to discover some realities and truths about the person and life of the most influential human being in the history, culture and politics of the Chinese nation, its people and leaders and 3) who haven't seen any relevant or meaningful applications of the ethical wisdom and moral teachings of Confucius to themselves and to their lives, work and human relationships.
