A Thanksgiving trip. A wax museum of horrors. And monsters that won't stay still. Tommy and Paul are ready for a weekend of football, food, and fun as they travel north to visit their friend Isabella in Minnesota for Thanksgiving.
But when Isabella surprises the boys with an overnight trip to
Adventure City, an indoor amusement park, they get more than they bargained for. Among roller coasters, go-karts, and cotton candy stands lies a hidden attraction:
The Terror Hall, a wax museum filled with classic movie monsters. Dracula. Frankenstein. The Mummy. The Wolfman. The Creature from the Black Lagoon.
At midnight, a girl from Isabella's Girl Scout troop vanishes, and the wax monsters begin to move.
With monsters stalking the dark corridors of the park,
Thrills and Chills Inc. must rely on their monster knowledge, flashlight skills, and fast thinking to survive. But not everything adds up. The monsters seem to follow rules,
movie rules, and there's something strange about Isabella's new boyfriend, Ethan. Secrets are hiding behind wax smiles... and not everyone is who they seem.
As monsters melt, mysteries deepen. Why were the kids really brought to the park? Who is pulling the strings behind the scenes? And why do the monsters seem to recognize Isabella?
Packed with monster mayhem, cinematic twists, and a chilling mystery that hints at something bigger to come, Monsters at Midnight is a fast-paced, fright-filled adventure for readers who love horror with heart, monsters with teeth, and kids who never stop asking questions.
