In the overall scheme of things what is intelligent life. Just how big is it. Just how do we perceive it as being intelligent. On the small end there are many living things we hardly recognize as being intelligent at all. What does it mean to be intelligent. If we are aware of ourselves, are we. Having self-awareness is required for survival. So, creatures that are self-aware of themselves in this manner lets speculate are intelligent. So, the tiniest living creature far smaller than we can see are intelligent. Then we can bounce up the scale from tiny to our size as humans on up to whales that to us are large. But from them just how far can we move upward in size with intelligence. Moons, Planets, Stars, Galaxies. If they do have self-awareness, how can we ever realize that. Galaxies live in an entirely different perceptional time frame then we do. Many creatures live in a different time frame then we live. Some creature's life spans last one season between spring and fall. Other creatures' life spans are much shorter. Looking in the other direction some living creatures' life spans are far longer. Just how long does a planet live. Just how long does a star live. Just how long does a galaxy live. Just how long does a universe live.
