PENGUIN AND THE CITY (POLISH VERSION) is a charming and engaging bilingual children's picture book that invites children to explore a new language in a playful way. It uses verbal humor and whimsical drawings to illustrate that it's ok to feel different in a new environment and
also teaches a handful of basic Polish words in a fun, quirky way. Many caregivers are interested in introducing new sounds to their little readers.
For young audiences age 3 to 7 years. But really also great for anyone learning Polish. And people who LOVE PENGUINS!
A cute penguin takes a trip to New York City and grapples with the city "human" life, including playing sports and learning how to take a bath, but finally discovers and enjoys one of the most universal experiences of life in the big city - taking the subway. In this story, readers are introduced to a sweet little penguin who illustrates critical developmental goals in fun vignettes: confidence; willingness to try and fail; and staying true to yourself, especially in challenging environments.
Polish words are written out phonetically as well throughout the book and are all listed again at the end of the story with their definitions.
