The Bible Burial: Isaiah 55:10-11 The Word of God

The First book of The Water's Edge Series is titled, The Water's Edge: The First Commandment, and it is based on Scripture, Mark 12:30. It is about Salvation through Christ Jesus as experienced by a young boy named Bobby. The second book of the series, titled The Water's Edge 2: The Second Commandment Mark 12:31, is about Bobby's growing Discipleship and learning to be a good neighbor.

This book is the third installment in The Water's Edge series, titled The Bible Burial: Isaiah 55:10-11 The Word of God. It is a Children's Story for ages 6-10, about reverence for the Holy Bible. Bobby is being taught to respect God's Word through the act of retiring his grandmother's old Bible. Instead of privately burying her old Bible, Bobby's grandmother asked a small group of family and friends to join her. Instead of discarding it carelessly, Bobby's grandmother hopes to honor its significance in her life.

Bobby becomes his grandmother's helper concerning the Bible Burial Event. In the earth, buried beneath a Dogwood Tree, the Old Bible in Grandma's Garden becomes a testament to the journey of faith in Bobby's family. The Scriptures from God have continually shaped Bobby's family and are now shaping the new Christian, Bobby.

During the planning and burial event of the Old Bible, Bobby learns to work with his family, derives enjoyment from helping others, and learns how to meditate on the Scriptures. Bobby begins to understand that the Bible is not just a book; it is a love message from God put in a Book Form for everyone to enjoy. He learns that by examining different translations of the Bible for the same verse, he can gain a deeper understanding of God's message.

Bobby's grandmother used her Study Bible with different translations of the Bible verses from Isaiah 55:10-11 (KJV), Isaiah 55:10-11 (TLV), and Isaiah 55:10-11 (NASB) to teach Bobby how to study and meditate on Biblical Scriptures.
