Exodus may be no bigger than a soup spoon, but he is a dragon, and like all dragons, he only thinks about himself. That changes one day when he meets a radiant butterfly named Eavan. Now all Exodus can think about is her. After rescuing Eavan from the web of the infamous spider, the Threaded Princess, the two become inseparable as they fly about the forest of Laude and get to know each other.
But not everyone is impressed. Exodus's family is embarrassed that he is spending time with a lowly insect, and insist he stop. The Threaded Princess is also looking for them. As much as she wants revenge after Exodus ruined her beautiful web, more than anything, she wants her meal back.
