The first two chapters introduce blockchain technology and digital assets before starting with the fundamental elements (16chapters in total). In a nutshell, blockchain fundamentals are the core and heart of the technology, but they also expand to different aspects that directly impact the value of a project and corresponding digital asset. Many areas fall under the umbrella of blockchain fundamentals, including the underlying technology, distributed ledger technology, decentralization, cryptographic hash functions, transaction blocks, consensus mechanisms, immutability, smart contracts, and tokens and cryptocurrency (coins). Each of these topics is discussed and explored; however, this alone is not enough to enable investors to make a well-informed investment decision. There are thirteen core fundamental elements that form the fundamental evaluation procedure for digital asset investors. Each fundamental element is discussed in detail, and case studies are provided to explain the evaluation process to the reader visually.
