商品簡介
God at Work offers a deep and accessible guide to the foundational chapters of Israel's deliverance, bringing theological, psychological, and social insight to this transformative biblical narrative. Drawing on years of scholarship and classroom teaching, Anthony B. Bradley explores Exodus through the lenses of Gerard Van Groningen's covenant theology, Abraham Kuyper's public theology, Reinhold Niebuhr's understanding of sin and anxiety, and Karen Horney's psychoanalytic theory of basic anxiety. This study walks readers through God's rescue of his people from Egypt, the formation of covenant identity at Mount Sinai, and the implications of these events for individuals, churches, and society today. With practical reflection questions and clear applications, the book equips readers to confront modern forms of bondage--personal, systemic, and spiritual--while calling them into deeper trust in God's justice and grace. Ideal for small groups, personal study, or classroom settings, God at Work reconnects ancient Scripture to contemporary life, offering a rich theological journey that inspires transformation and obedience.
