Behind The Curtain: The Real Enemy Everyone Is Overlooking

The Gospel of Jesus Christ sounds very strange to a generation that has been taught they are perfect just as they are, loving themselves is virtuous, following their heart is the best thing to do, and nothing is more important than being happy. There is a battle that is happening, and it's been happening for quite some time. This battle is taking place in two arenas; the spiritual side and the physical side. But because Satan, being the god of this world, has been here since his fall from grace, he's had time to infiltrate so many aspects of our lives. His fingerprints are found in Science, politics, media, education, medicine, and even within the walls of sacred places. His tactics are simple. He will make sin look normal and righteousness look weird.
The devil doesn't come to us with a red face, pointy tail, horns and a trident. He comes to us disguised as everything we've always wanted. Satan and his Demons analyze us and have been for quite some time. They act as monitoring spirits, analyzing our weaknesses and strengths. They listen to our conversations and to when we said something out of frustration, weakness, or despair. They will then act on that information and will keep prying on that one weakness over and over. We have to become conscious of how they are prying on that weakness so that we can take it to God the Father. Because in Him, there is refuge.
Satan knows our name but calls us by our failures. But Jesus knows our failures and calls us by our name. As followers of Christ, we are called to live lives rooted in the word of God, reflecting the love, the grace, and the truth of Jesus in all we do. And in doing that, we help pull the curtain back and expose the real enemy everyone is overlooking.
