Unprocessed past trauma and feelings that haven't been there before. What happened to the once easy beach life? Summer vibes, beach life, hanging out with friends all the time - that's how Kayla's life used to be. That's how everything was until her mother died three years ago. After her father then also sent her to a boarding school at the other side of the continent, everything has changed and there seems to be no way for her to ever be happy again. And worst of all: she feels like everything is her fault. After one year full of lonelyness and pain she finally manages to get back home. But when she comes back, all the memories of her mum are closer than ever before and she quickly has to realize that even her safe places aren't the same anymore. Will she ever be able to leave her past behind? Or is the unprocessed pain gonna break her? And what about the somersaults she suddenly has in her stomach when she just looks at her best friend? She tries to forget him but how is she supposed to do that when her heart almost jumps out of her?
