qnxan na trakis 小米的一生

《qnxan na trakis 小米的一生》是以小米視角，描繪泰雅文化生命循環，串連族語、中文與英文的雙語繪本。

這次首創泰雅語與英語對照繪本為跨界合作的成果，不僅有族語創作者的心血，也融入了六位旅美年輕人的投入對桃園少數族群關心，達成泰雅語向國際推廣的里程碑。編纂過程中參與英文翻譯、編輯、行銷的工程。透過不同族群、不同世代的攜手合作，匯聚而成這本兼具文化厚度與跨文化交流意義的繪本。並且細心的為初學泰雅語的人準備了字母發音別冊，讓繪本能真正傳達泰雅語的精髓，讓世界看見泰雅族。

寫《qnxan na trakis》的初衷，是希望用小米的視角，讓孩子們認識我們泰雅族與土地之間的連結。小米不僅僅是農作物，它承載著祖先的智慧與文化的記憶。透過這本雙語繪本，我想讓孩子在閱讀中學會族語，聽到土地的聲音，看到自己的文化。我相信每一粒種子都有說故事的能力，也相信孩子會在故事裡找到自己的根。願這本書像小米一樣，在你我的心裡落地、生根、發芽，繼續長出屬於我們的語言與故事。

When I was born, Dad and Mom called me ghap. When the eyes of the sakura open, Mom scattered me onto the farmland. When I was two months old, two tender leaves spruoted from my head. Then half a month later, my feet worked hard to take root downward. I slowly grew taller and stronger when I was three months old. At the age of four months, Dad and Mom weeded. When I was at the age of five months, Dad protected me with bird repellent. At the age of six month, I often bowed to the sky. At the time that my parents started to reap. I have many siblings.
This is bukil, who is used for making rice cakes. This is nwiwil, for making pickled meat and pickled fish. Nbaqu, for brewing wine. This is Bsinuw, it is used for health-nurturing. There are several kinds of millet such as nqare bsinuw ……After we were seven, Dad let us run and play hide-and-seek under the sun. Until we were ten years old, Dad watched us grow big and round. He celebrated and shared the first harvest with his people. At the age of eleven, the weather became more and more cooler. Among all our siblings, some have already laid to rest in the barn. And still others slept in people’s belly. And me, I become the seed of next year, waiting for the future journey.
