Clark Daley has it made. He loves his warehouse job, he makes good money, and he has a great future. But a forklift accident changes everything. Can he pick himself up and move forward?

At Finding Forward Books, we publish short novels for teens about issues faced by teens. Our goal is for young people to improve their reading skills, develop positive attitudes, and increase their success in school.

The books are suitable for all teens, including English learners and those with learning disabilities. They are printed in Open Dyslexic, a font to accommodate individuals with dyslexia. Lexile measures range from 390 to 560.

Russ Thompson is a retired educator who served as a reading teacher, high-school principal, and district administrator in Los Angeles. Much of his time was spent working with at-risk students. He holds a teaching credential as a reading specialist, as well as a doctorate in education from UCLA.
