The Book of Revelation may appear strange, opaque, even confusing to modern eyes. Yet it is meant to reveal, not to conceal. Written in the style of Old Testament prophets, it comes to us in a code that is readily understood from the stories, symbols and images of those prophets. It announces, as beams of light refracted through a prism, the truth about us, this broken world, the powers and patterns of evil, and the victory of God through Jesus and his faithful ones. Reading Revelation may appear to be a challenge; not reading can be dangerous. "I've read the Book of Revelation many times, but I've never dared to study it-until now. John Sittema's Where Justice and Peace Kiss doesn't just decode the imagery; it delivers the message with power and clarity. His prose is reminiscent of the first time I tasted fine wine-meant to be sipped slowly, savored, and thoughtfully contemplated before moving to the next." -Mike Jette, Elder-at-large, author of Following the Invisible Jesus, Rock Hill, SC "...a rare and marvelous piece of work. Meditations or devotions from Revelation are almost as rare as ocean water that tastes good, and few devotionals of any kind offer as much as this one." -Gary Corwin, Missiologist, historian, Church Elder and author of Introducing World Missions: A Biblical, Historical and Practical Survey, Charlotte NC "...a warm and engaging collection that tells a coherent story of grace to remind us that now, and throughout history, "everything that happens on earth is directed from heaven." -Dr. Paul J. Hudson, MD, MPH, Director of Medical Missions, Author of Healthcare and the Mission of God. Fort Mill, SC
